All students will learn the piano in a fun, creative, and easy-going environment filled with interactive challenges, games, and story-based curriculum. In the future, we will be offering students the opportunity to participate in exams, festivals, and recitals as they progress in our group program.

Our program is designed to help you and your child succeed with the addition of piano parent practice videos, check-ins, and bonus ongoing online coaching sessions.

Why should I sign up for your program?

Our Happy Keys Music & Piano School Group Piano for Kids programs offer a cyclical and consistent structure approach to teaching and learning which allows students to revisit concepts and deepen their understanding each week.

Along with our levelled challenges, students of various abilities are able to be in a group class. This also allows us to intake new students throughout the year and add new times and dates. Our program allows children to move forward to join piano festivals and participate in piano exams.

In our group classes, we focus on building relationships with the students, providing everyone with clear building steps and building blocks of concepts and skills with a proven system that consists of consistency in structure and approach. This requires everyone to show up ready to be in class and is dedicated to daily practice and progress.

Our learning includes singing, lyrics to help with rhythmic accuracy, repetition in learning concepts, theory, and general tasks to ensure they are learning fully. There are a variety of activities that touch upon various types of learning styles (visual, auditory, kinaesthetic) and we tailor the programs to be age-appropriate thus allowing for development of attention and concentration.

We desire for our students to make connections to their knowledge and understanding, thus, creating a cohesive and enjoyable learning experience.

The Happy Keys Piano School

Programs start at $395+ per term for ages 3.5 to 5.5.
Each term is 13 weeks long and continues onto the following term.
Sizes vary from 4-9 students depending on scheduling and location space.
We may use accomplished and trained assistants in our programs to support our lessons, creating a 1:3 or 1:4 adult to student ratio in each class.
Fees subject to increase of 2.5 to 5% per year.
One-time Enrolment Fee & Yearly Membership Fees separate.

Do you offer private lessons?

Yes, we do. The benefits of group piano lessons for beginners far outweighs private piano lessons. For students who wish to further their study personally or into Advance Level, we would recommend private lessons. Our current private lessons begin at $76 per 30 minutes and will vary depending on our teacher's qualifications, experiences and availability.

How do we get started?

We highly recommend you to register for our 3-week group trial period for students starting in our Young Beginner’s Piano Program as you will get a taste of what group piano for kids really is like!

This opportunity will allow you and your child to see if group piano is a good fit for you and your family. Students can then decide to go onto private with one of our teachers, hybrid of both, or continue with group piano.

Trial periods are ongoing throughout the year and are available in-person and online. We take in transfer students too, especially those who thrive in a group environment and a change in their learning environment! We will schedule a complimentary initial consultation with you to see if this can work.
