My name is Donna and I'm the found of Happy Keys Piano Academy. I'm super excited to share with you my vision and my passion for teaching. I will be the main piano mentor in our program and I am looking for a team that will deliver the highest quality of teaching and fun! My goal for expanding is to simply serve my community. My community is the children and families that are invested in our programs and in their children's future. I believe the first piano learning experience for any child or adult is the most magical and curious driven time. And, I believe in mentoring our students to be in their highest potential. This also makes our program unique because we curate our curriculum by providing a solid and structured learning foundation and individualizing for our student's personal interests, needs, and levels. There is a lot of care and discovery that takes place when we are in the business of working alongside children. Just as we serve our clients and communities with their best care in mind, we also bring this to our team.

We are currently looking amazing people to join our team in Summer 2024 and into Fall 2024-25 School Year:
- Group Piano Coaches
- Student Assistants
- Lead Admin
- Private Piano Teacher (Able to teach from home or in-person)
Contract Positions Starting:
- May/June 2024: Training Period for Summer 2024 (July to August)
- Summer 2024: Training Period for Fall 2024 start school year
Flexible Teaching Hours:
- Between 3:30pm to 7:30pm (Weekdays)
- Between 9am to 4pm (Weekends)
- We are closed Mondays
We are considering candidates who demonstrate qualities, interests, and experience in following:
- Loves working with children and enjoy working with families.
- Friendly, personable, and professional.
- Highly coachable, independent, and receives feedback.
- Communicates effectively, takes initiative, and accountable.
- Able to follow-through with procedures, policies, and take personal responsiblity.
For coaches, teachers, and assistants, we prefer:
- Singable voice, enjoys singing
- Interested in creative lesson planning and continuous learning
- Experience teaching students of all ages (4.5 and up) or willingness to be trained
- Experience teaching young children one on one or group lessons
- Preschool or elementary school teachers desired
- Knowledgeable of philosophy of teaching, incorporating "Reggio Emilia Philosophy"
- Able to teach preschool programs, RCM, and above
- Able to communicate and get along well with parents
- Ability to teach multiple instruments (not required)
- Must Have: Criminal Records Check
- Must Have: ARCT/Diploma/Degree
- Minimum 2+ year commitment
For the exceptional piano teachers, we prefer the above and the following:
- Minimum 5+ year teaching experience
- Experience sending students to Festivals & Exams at Grade Levels 1 to 10 RCM
- Enjoy the energy and competitive spirit of festivals, helping students achieve Gold Level playing average (89%+)
- Interests in jazz, improvisation, pop is a bonus!
